3below Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 As above, many best wishes to a musician who has given me (and others) countless hours of pleasure and inspiration. Quote
Lynottfan Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Sadly the man is on his way by the sounds of it, total respect to Wilko bless him. Quote
Donnyboy Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 It was great seeing him with Madness on the BBC thing on Friday Quote
KiOgon Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 He didn't look so good with Madness the other night outside the Beeb, maybe that nasty cold & rain has knocked him back a bit, poxy weather. Big respect for him & very best wishes. Quote
SpaceChick Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 (edited) We were only talking about him at the Cardiff bass bash yesterday. Good on him for going out with a bang though. Hope he's coping with his illness. Edited March 24, 2013 by SpaceChick Quote

Big_Stu Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 I've all the time in the world for any muso who's stamped their mark in the business & Wilco did that big-time. Reading about him closing with Bye Bye Johnny brought a lump to my thought. Quote

rushbo Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 I saw him in Sheffield earlier this year and he played a blinder. What could have been going through the guys head at the time, no-one knows. An original. And massively influential. I hope you've enjoyed the ride, Wilko. Quote
12stringbassist Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 A one-off. We won't see his like again and we were lucky to have him. God bless, mate. Quote

DorsetBlue Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Nothing else to add, other than to say it was great to see him with Madness on BBC4 on Friday night. Cancer sucks. Quote

flyfisher Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I wondered if something like this might happen when I first heard the news of his farewell tour. Very sad, but there can be no doubt he has gone out fighting and playing. Total respect! Quote
Cosmo Valdemar Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Nothing much to add really... I brought a tear to my eye seeing him get up and play at that Madness concert on Friday night, particularly when I had to explain to the Mrs why I was getting a bit 'emotional'. He looked so happy and carefree. Quote
jezzaboy Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 It was good to see Madness paying their respect to the man. Quote
