Geejay Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 (edited) It has got to go. Now down to £950 o.no. I am selling my lovely 1998 Modulus VJ 3-Tone Sunburst Jazz Bass. it has passive Bartolini pickups (which I believe were an extra cost option when new). Currently priced at $2949 on the Modulus US website, the 3-Tone Sunburst is a $200 option. I bought the bass from Molan, of this parish, in about May 2008, for a Big Band I had joined. Unfortunately I developed a hand injury and had to leave. My hand has never fully recovered and so the bass has never been used in anger. I will not be playing in a band again and so am selling off my bass gear. The bass is in very good condition and comes complete with case, case candy, Comfort Strapp and strap locks. Sale delayed and updated due to family bereavement. mihaikolla Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 (edited) Does it have a trussrod? Certainly not (given the year) but I see a big allen key with it... Amazing price ! Edited December 4, 2013 by mihaikolla
Geejay Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 No truss rod. The allen keys are for adjusting the bridge.
Geejay Posted December 7, 2013 Author Posted December 7, 2013 Still available, a couple of potential buyers abroad have pulled out. Graham
bubinga5 Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 i owned a VJ with a quilt top. the playability was incredible. the lowest action on a jazz bass ive ever played. these necks never move. super low action, no buzz. awsome instruments
Geejay Posted December 27, 2013 Author Posted December 27, 2013 The Sales have started. Price reduction to £995.
JapanAxe Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Are the pickups hum-cancelling when used singly, or only when both on? And is the control layout VVT or VPT (P=pan)? Cheers
Geejay Posted January 12, 2014 Author Posted January 12, 2014 JapanAxe, Apologies for the delay in replying but I have had trouble accessing my computer. It has VVT controls and I don't believe the PU's are separately hum cancelling. I will try to check this out online and also unpack the bass and give it an airing to find out. Graham
