g1hsg Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 Given that ParcelFarce are the nominated courier it'll probably arrive in several pieces. Quote

Dubs Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 Do you think the seller know he's just given someone the bargain of the millennium? Crazy, I would have snapped that up if I'd seen it first. Quote
Smash Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 Shame about his other auction, not quite such a bargain............... finnbass Posted May 28, 2008 Author Posted May 28, 2008 At least half a dozen people, including me, missed that by a few minutes/seconds... *...sigh...* Quote
warwickhunt Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 FFS the seller either had no idea of the value or was 'seriously' desperate. Had I seen that I'd have thought 'Nah too good to be true'... and may well have missed the bargain of the decade (if it is genuine ) I can see that back up for sale at x2 x3 the purchase price! Quote
GreeneKing Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Add me to the lost of folk swearing because they missed it
Given that ParcelFarce are the nominated courier it'll probably arrive in several pieces.
Given that's your experience and not mine. Maybe I've just been lucky, hundreds of times Peter Quote

bassmanady Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 (edited) I see this early model has a one piece bridge Edited June 2, 2008 by bassmanady Quote

Hamster Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 Not being privvy to the esoterica of Warick basses, what would have been a more realistic price for this bass? Quote
warwickhunt Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008
Not being privvy to the esoterica of Warick basses, what would have been a more realistic price for this bass?
IIRC one sold on this forum recently for £800. I know they were changing hands a couple of years ago for £1000. I'd have bought it sight unseen and without hesitation at anything less than £700... anything more than that and I'd suddenly remember that I don't get on with the hanging position of Thumb basses Quote
finnbass Posted June 2, 2008 Author Posted June 2, 2008 I'm probably a bit tighter than Mr Hunt, but as I've bought a very special '88 NT Thumb and a Ltd Edition Bleached Blonde for £750...each obviously...I would have coughed up £600 sight unseen and not even wanting another Thumb. Quote
