stratro
Hi everyone..greetigs from Macedonia. The Yamaha RBX 6JM is for sale along with a Yamaha hardcasesince i " fell in love" with Steve Bailey`s signature 6 string Fender.. I read an old thread on this forum that somene has been looking for an earlier John Myung model, so feel free to contact me...its here and its for sale. Meanwhile...here`s something from me playing in a jazz TV show in my country.. Leen2112
Hey Stratro, I'd have that JM off you if i could....but I can't! I take it that steve bailey bass is fretless? He is a beast if not a bit weird.....good though. Cheers Leen.

Highfox
Welcome. The first track you posted was a little too highbrow for me, but loved the groove and your playing on the second track. Silky skills.

stratro
I finally bought my Fender Steve Bailey 6 string yesterday. Tt came with a black Fender deluxe hard case, leather strap, cable and other stuff.. ...awesome unmistakeable jazz bass sound, but with 6 strings and 24 frets on ebony fretboard. That neck is much wiider then the Myung signature model...but the whole instrument is (maybe) 30-40% lighter. That neck is wiiide i tell you... No comparison between the two: the Fender is one class above the Yamaha...both in sound and quality, but also pricewise. I was very very close to purchasing a mexican Fender Deluxe 5 string, but in my country that costs almost a 1000 euros, which was a bit steap for me for a mexican Fender. Instad, i paid twice as much but ended up with the only 6 string Fender has ever made..Made in USA (neck by custom shop) ofc. Here`s a pic ...video coming soon:) The Yamaha John Myung is still for sale...900 euros with hardcase included. stratro
Meanwhile...here`s a track from an album i recored with some friends...it has a bass solo in the middle, so you can hear how the Yamaha sounds on an album. Almost forgot to mention:...I am selftaught "musician" and have zero formal music education...( i`m a lawyer btw:)).. My favorite basists are from many musical genres..starting from John Patitucci, through Gary Willis, all the way to Billy Sheehan, Steve Harris and Jason Newsted when i was i kid. As for now, I really, really like Paul Turner`s bass lines on Jamiroquai tracks and live shows... Cheers.
