Tone-wise it does everything from thumpy mid-era Beatles Macca through to Geddy. As my recent post count here will testify, I've fallen out of love with playing bass as the result of several other conflicting commitments, and certainly the little bass I'm playing wouldn't warrant a fretless, but there's still a significant part of me wants this bass back because it is just such a completely unique and wonderful instrument on every level.
