Clarky Posted March 28, 2013 Share Posted March 28, 2013 (edited) A guy on TalkBass called Brandon Essex has started up a new line of ribbon mics (Troll, as it lives under the bridge!) which he claims are more feedback-resistant and better sounding than current alternatives (DPA etc). The first few feedback reports have been very positive from users. Here's a vid demo'ing the mic - sounds good to me, although I would worry about the volume of my band being too much for this mic. Thought you DB'ers might be interested in this new alternative. thisnameistaken Posted March 29, 2013 Share Posted March 29, 2013 That's not a great demonstration video. I can't tell whether his bass sounds a bit dead or if his mic just isn't very good.
