Geek99
Im thinking of building my own battered looking 73 style precision - has to be sunburst or maybe natural Does anyone have an idea where i can get a nitro body to wear out myself in time, or someone who does respectable relic jobs ? Just doing some window shopping, not buying immediately Thanks

JimBobTTD
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/accessories/mighty-mite-mm2703-jazz-bass-replacement-body--burst-finish
That's definitely a poly finish and will never relic well in a short time. If I were you, I'd get a body made and finished by one of the many talented makers on this site. Browse the Build Threads part and ask a few. The Jazz I had finished by a gentleman in the US is starting to age nicely after a little under two years of mild yet frequent use. I'm in the middle of a P build (I'll do the painting myself this time) and expect it to be similarly aged after two years.
Musky
It might be possible to pick up a Highway One/1 body from ebay - they had very thin finishes which were intended to wear quickly. It'd probably mean importing from the States though, where far more basses seem to get parted out.
