"The equipment is currently stored Nr Bury St Edmunds"

That's about 20 minutes from me....... :)

These things look nuts. I can't shake the idea of them just being a huge amount of mud, and not alot of definition... I guess they need to be heard to be believed.

I don’t know how related this is but check out this guys home cinema set up –

This is an 8x18 subwoofer home cinema set up. It must literally shake the foundations of his house. Here’s the whole thread - http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=976075

If I had:

a. the arms
b. the money
c. the storage space, and
d. the musical need

I'd buy them.

But I don't. :)

For anyone seriously considering this (really? are your SURE?), I bought a V-Type head off this dude a few years back, he drove down from Derbyshire to Gatwick and met me to hand it over, for the princely sum of £10. Good guy, very interesting stories!

why would you want an 8x15?? a little ott in my opinion, i dont see how it could sound any better than a 4x15 and 4x10 or even 1x15 and 4x10
Its not unusual. Lots of 4x15 cabs were made in the 60's and 70's. Thin stringers used 4x12's, bass players used 4x15's.
I remember an interview with Roger Glover where he talked about the Deep Purple Days. He and Ritchie Blackmore both had a set of Moog Taurus pedals hooked up to 4 x 15s and would have volume battles onstage. No wonder they were in the Guinness book of records or something for loudest ever gig. However, that's an award I thinkManowar snatched from them.

I'm suspecting that was the delivery cost. Hoping that is.

Er yes, didn't make that clear did I?!! Haha. If I'd bought a V-Type head for a tenner I'd have been the luckiest b*gger alive. it was £255 plus a tenner for delivery from Derbyshire :)
