Guy selling what he says is a 2011 Am Std. P Bass. Was LPB a factory colour then? Also, weren't the bodies string-through? There doesn't seem to be anywhere to string through.

What u guys think?

Its a USA neck, but the truss rod access on the body looks wrong.

My thoughts too. The serial number indicates 2011, and the tuners are the right ones for that year. As Hobbayne points out, the truss rod access looks wrong, and as Musky says, US Standards of 2011 have hi-mass bridge and thru-body stringing.

Avoid - especially at the money quoted.

That's definitely a MIM body with an Am Std neck. Not only because of the simple plate bridge instead of the high-mass top load or body through bridge with milled saddles with optional grooves, but because of the color. This particular shade of blue is very common with MIM instruments, both Strats and basses, and not used on Am Std, or at least not that particular shade.

Cheers gents.

I figured it was a MIM body alright. The USA neck looks fine but as a few of you suggested, the body raises questions.

Shall stick to my 70's P's then (until a good deal for an ACTUAL Am Std comes along!) haha

Maybe I should go for the 51 RI (CIJ) I got offered...

Or mortgage payments... decisions decisions...

As always, thanks all :)
