ezbass
Reminds me of a cheapo bass my mate had back in the 70s (cant remember the make) except that it had 2 pickups. These look way better and are no doubt way better made too.

Lozz196
I really like the look of these. The one with the humbucker and Jazz pickup sounds great - there`s a youtube demo available.

chris_b
This is the only "churn" of original designs that Fender doesn't seen to have tried yet. It's already been done though. Many years ago, when Leo was at G&L, he produced the ASAT.
Donnyboy
Who knows! I would say I'm very please with my Squier VM Special , very good quality. Tecently got a set up done & my man was very impressed - preferrred to my Proper Fender Jazz
ChickenKiev
Those are lovely and I would love it if they did an official Fender version, but I could imagine them to be as heavy as hell, unless they have chambered bodies. I've actually had a concept for a true true 'telecaster bass' like these for years (was considering going to Warmoth for the body and sticking a Fender Precision neck on it) so I'm glad these things now exist. I'm just happy that Fender are FINALLY trying some new body styles besides the Precision and Jazz (the Jaguar doesn't count in my opinion!). Sean
You could get a British luthier to build you one to your spec and it would be a million times better than anything Fender vod ever produce.

Dr M
Probably depends on how well they sell. Could go the way of the Squier '51 from a few years back - got rave reviews and became something of a cult hit, so it was quietly discontinued. Then it was re-released with a Fender decal for two and a half times the price!
