Lend me your ears - with POLL

So anyway, I'm about to bite the bullet and buy some amp modelling software. I've narrowed it down to 2 finalists and would like your opinions.

Here are two soundcloud recordings, amp sample 1 and 2 and I'd like to know which one you prefer the sound of.

I don't like either much, to be quite honest... ...sorry!
But if I had to choose I'd say Amp 1 sounds more 'natural'... if that's what you're looking for?

Impossible to say without knowing what the context is.

IMO sample 2 sounds better on its own, but I suspect that sample 1 might sit better in an overall band mix.

Sorry, but not my cup of tea at all. Neither has what, to my cloth ears, represents 'musicality'. Maybe it's the compo, or the playing..?

I voted 2, but it was hard to say. might have been easier with a clean guitar sound.

I voted 2, but that's based more on the fact that I prefer the sound of the 2nd guitar. If I were you I'd get whichever is the cheaper one.

Personally I use Reaper for recording which is next to nothing to buy and has loads of free plugin VSTs.

I don't like either but 2 sounds nicer to me. But it's about what YOU like. NEVER let anyone influence your sound decisions if they go against what pleases you.

2 sounds better to me - as above though, you should buy the one you prefer.
