DiscoTetak
Can you please help mi with this: I googled for 3 hours and I couldn't find anything about this vintage Hoyer bass: Album: http://imgur.com/a/t3Ayl I can't figure out if everything is original. The owner says it has been refinished at some point, but I can't tell for the rest of the bass. Does anybody has any idea? Do you think 120€ is a fair price? Thank you! cocco
There are a few hoyer owners on here, most have Gibson replicas though. I've never seen this model before, not that I'm an expert.
bertbass
I bought back a Hoyer from Germany when I played there in 1979, P/Xed an EB3 for it. What a fabulous bass! Unfortunately, I had to P/x it against a Shergold twin neck. Wish I still had it. I'd of thought that 120 Euros or £102 was a real bargain. DiscoTetak
Thank you! I guess what bugs me most is that I can't tell if everything is original, as I don't have any other pic to compare it to. The route above the P pickup looks suspicious (one where it says "Stereo"). Also, routes for P pickup look to big - maybe the metal surroundings is missing? bertbass
The one I had was the same as in this video. http://www.nme.com/nme-video/youtube/id/aZx2a4_qUBE/search/ Brilliant bass to play. I wonder if the one you're after had similar pickups that have been changed. Edited April 2, 2013 by bertbass
DiscoTetak
Never mind, the bass was sold earlier today.
