Funky,Soul, songs for three piece

Hello, i am looking for some funk soul songs (with good basslines) for the three piece
cover band i play in,singer guitar drums & me on bass
i have been looking & have found a few was wondering if
anyone on here has some sagestions

We used to do this quite a lot. If we was just a 3 piece, then I would adapt the bassline to incorporate the clave part when there was no vocals.

Our R'n'B trio has recently been cooking up 'Nutbush City Limits' - works pretty well when you stick a strong, forceful bassline down.

My 3-piece plays I Got You (I Feel Good) by James Brown, and I Heard It Through the Grapevine by Marvin Gaye (but more like the Creedence version). Both have great bass lines IMO, but I'm on guitar!
