Hi, I have a couple of basses that are coming back to me from a friends studio in Belgium. I was wondering does anyone have any idea of the value of Gordon Smith basses? I believe this one was custom built in 1991 for a client who didn't want it! I bet Mr Smith was well happy! Somehow it made it new to a friend of mine and I got it off him in the latter 90's. Its a really nice woody sounding bass and quite heavy. Through neck etc and built really well. If it was custom built it may well be one of a kind but am not sure. The black bass (although has a F decal) was built in Lancashire by a company that have now gone bust and I do not know their name. I picked it up a few years ago but it has lived in Belgium most of that time. Heavy, beautiful neck, very well made and can be really warm and mellow almost dreamy. I was hoping somebody might recognise the basses and have some info and perhaps an idea of their value? Thanks...

I'd imagine the Gordy is worth anywhere between £250-450 depending on condition. I'd say similar for the PJ too. Are you looking to shift them?

Hi, thanks for the input. I will be selling them but they are in Belgium up until 21st May. I was trying to get an idea of what they may be worth. I was hoping eventually to sell them on along with some other stuff to fund a USA Precision and maybe Westone Thunder lll. Thanks again...
