Ashborygirl Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 The AVRI range was finished in nitro BUT it was over a poly base coat, according to a Fender employee I spoke to about 15 years ago. Quote
paulmcnamara Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 The Fullerton Reissues '82 to 85 were all nitro just as the pre CBS's. Sometimes they turn up at a good price, though considerably more than the roadworn. Quote
Geek99 Posted April 25, 2013 Author Posted April 25, 2013 I have ordered a nitro finished sunburst P from the bass doc. It will have a tinted thin nitro coating on the neck Quote
AndyTravis Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Got the Jazz and Precision in work today. The Jazz is lovely, but for some reason the 50's Precision is remarkable. I had the 50's in honey blonde poly up until a couple of years ago and it was a great bass, but the nitro finish must have a part in how good this bass is. Looks like the cabronita purchase is being delayed. Quote
njr911 Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Do they only do the P in black? I want some cool 60s custom colours in nitro Quote

Musicman20 Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 (edited) I gotta say, the black P is actually quite nice: Black isn't usually a colour I go for...but with that yellow maple neck...nice! £830 for a nitro Fender, with a proper rather suave case! Cyrene Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 If they bring out some more colours my '50s Classic is going in the classifieds. Quote
