Maybe not lyrically, but oddly enough, anything by AC/DC would be in a female register. Also-- Journey, Pete Cetera, YES and Iron Maiden are usually too high for most males.

Don`t know if it is classed as classic rock, but Melissa Etheridge may fit the bill.I would say Janis Joplin, as she is one of my favourite singers, but someone beat me too it
