mikegatward Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 (edited) Having reached the conclusion that I prefer my markbass rig, I've decided to sell my orang terror 500 and barefaced set up and will list them separately This ad is for the Barefaced Compact with black grill and a roqsolid cover. It's in as new condition, only gigged once and used for a few rehearsals Pics are here http://photobucket.com/albums/l614/mikegatward/barefaced Would prefer collection/meet up ( I travel over to Manchester regularly so could meet up over there) but would consider postage at buyers expense Edited May 3, 2013 by mikegatward
The Dark Lord Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 If it helps anyone, I got one of these couriered to me a short while back and it cost about £14 using www,interparcel.com Great cabs.
martthebass Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Mikes a sound bloke, bought a BF Compact off him last year.....if he says it's mint then it really will look unused. Have a bump.
mikegatward Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 Bumping a BF compact - what's the world coming to :-)
RandomBass Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Recommended chap type bump. He bought a midget from me a couple of years ago. Hmm that sentence sounds a bit iffy lol...
tedmanzie Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Mike - i've PMd a question re this but not heard back, are your notification settings on?! cheers, Ted
mikegatward Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 Just replied Ted, sorry, thought I had done but my sausage fingers must have missed the send button
mikegatward Posted April 13, 2013 Author Posted April 13, 2013 Weekend bump Get it quick before I change my mind :-)
mikegatward Posted April 24, 2013 Author Posted April 24, 2013 As new, 100 quid cheaper than a new one. no waiting list and a fitted cover What's not to like
Mikey R Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Whats the world coming to when a Compact sticks around for more than half an hour? Come on people, get this bought!
kulabula Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 I'm possibly interested, are they as efficient as they say they are? will they keep up with a loud drummer for pub and club gigs?
bigevilman Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 I can confirm that these cabs can keep up with an entire band. I used to have 2 and dropped down to just one, loudest ive had it was for a 2000 capacity biker rally, had amp at 7 and the compact sung! You'll never look back after getting one Best of luck with the sale!
kulabula Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 having now asked about, i'm quite sure that i'm interested.
The Dark Lord Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013
I'm possibly interested, are they as efficient as they say they are? will they keep up with a loud drummer for pub and club gigs?
Oh yes.
kulabula Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 how do they compare to epifani and the markbass cabinets??
mikegatward Posted April 29, 2013 Author Posted April 29, 2013 Sold pending (and someone with 2nd dibs as well). It's like waiting for a bus
Guest bassman7755 Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 (edited)
how do they compare to epifani and the markbass cabinets??
I have a (well I say "a" - actually I now have 3 ) compact and an epi 3x10. The compact holds its own very well in a A/B comparison - its top end extension rivals the epis, with tweeter disabled natch, which is good going for a 15 loaded cab. Plus its not to far over half the size and weight of the epi (which is considered a relatively small/light cab in its own right). Edited April 29, 2013 by bassman7755
ratman Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 So, a new Compact record - 3 weeks!! Unbelievable. They used to sell in under an hour.
mikegatward Posted May 3, 2013 Author Posted May 3, 2013 It's nearly sold ! - just waiting for it all to get sorted before I update. Already beginning to regret it but a midget T was suit me better
