Mudpup
Used one of my speakon connectors last week for our PA power amp as we thought we had a problem with the hardwired connection. Never had an issue with it before but can we bloody get it out? The metal tab retracts as normal but it wont turn at all to pop it out. Any bright ideas? Dont mind wrecking the cable but trying to keep the socket intact to avoid repair costs.

Mudpup
Feels like something is not disconnecting in the socket
discreet
Is the outer casing turning but not making the inside turn, or is it solid and immovable?
Bill Fitzmaurice
Your only option is to use pliers to force it to turn. Hopefully if anything breaks it will be the plug and not the socket. I've never had this happen either but I've heard of there being some issues with knock-off Speakons. Only use genuine Neutrik.
