BandGeekBarclay
Hi guys, Pickups on my Harley Benton (cheap bass) are long overdue replaced - they sound horrible and whatnot. Fancy some Wilkinson pickups but it depends on what I can get hold of, cost etc... They're 2 single coils so nothing major. I can solder and whatnot, is it a case of unscrew the pickup from the body, and unsolder the wires from the pickup to the knob on the body, (after taking note of what goes where) and attaching the new pickup or is there something more to it? Thanks, BandGeek
bertbass
That's what you do. Nothing more to it.
brensabre79
Thats pretty much it. Depending on what pickups you get you might need to swap the wires around on one or both of the pickups. It's pretty easy to tell. If when you select both pickups the sound drops in level and goes all thin you need to swap the wires around on one of the pickups.
