Hobbayne Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 I remember reading about a stand you could rest your guitar on, which attached to your amp. Can anyone tell me what they are called?? Quote
Hobbayne Posted April 8, 2013 Author Posted April 8, 2013 (edited)
You mean the markbass one?
No I think its a generic one that sits on the top of a combo and the neck rests in it. The body rests on the floor. Edited April 8, 2013 by Hobbayne Quote
andydye Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Not sure then, I only know of the markbass one that velcros to your cab carpet... Quote
BassTractor Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 (edited) This thread had a discussion including those things: http://basschat.co.u...r-bass-at-a-gig Most probably the Planet Waves one, if I get you right. best, bert Edited April 8, 2013 by BassTractor Quote
Junkyard Rocket Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 This one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Planet-Waves-PW-GR-01-Guitar-Rest/dp/B004N0MKN8 Wouldn't be much good for a Jazz, Jag or t-bird Quote

I certainly would not trust it. Quote
MacDaddy Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 (edited) i rest my Flying V against the amp, but I always stand it on something padded/soft and not directly on the floor. Edited, to add I lean it so the contact is with the strings and not the neck. Edited April 9, 2013 by MacDaddy Quote
chris_b Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I think a pretty good stand (or the best I've found) is the Ultimate Genesis GS-100. http://www.ultimates.../product/GS-100 Quote

The guitarist in my band and I purchased 3 of them and the auto grabs gave in on all 3. Mind you they still function as a stand as they tilt back, making it unlikely that your bass/guitar will come to any harm Quote
