Silvia Bluejay
We Warwick nuts should band together and make some sort of bulk buy to satisfy our GAS!

risingson
Lovely, thanks for sharing! I'm going to be in NYC from Sunday for a whole 10 days, will be in and around the East Village for a bit so I'll hunt the Warwick store down.

bagsieblue
Thanks for sharing from another Warwick fan (currently 2 x $$, Corvette Proline Fretless, Corvette Hot Rod 5'er and Dolphin Pro 2) Great pictures and great write up - very jealous. Well done you........

yepmop
Really good read, seems like they have a lot of time for browsers over there, unlike here where they want you out the door if you not flashing your wallet.
Silvia Bluejay
True. I imagine mentioning Basschat and handing over my business card may have helped a little, too. But I'm sure there is no pressure at all to buy or be quick for any customers who walk in there.
dmccombe7
Thanks Bluejay, My soft spot is for Thumb NT's. I've just loved them since they came out and Jack Bruce is my idol so i had no choice but to buy one many moons ago. Do like those Jack Bruce ones tho - Mmmmmmm !!!!!!! KevB
I promised myself I wouldn't contribute to this thread 'cos most of you know I don't like the look of Warwicks. But then I saw the pic of the selection of Thumbs and the single cuts in particular and I couldn't stop myself. Yes yes it's all in the eye of the beholder but holy mother of christ they are the victorian freak show of the bass world aren't they? I'm sorry if I've offended anyone but I just had to get it off my chest. Again. As you were...

Silvia Bluejay
I'm not keen on single cut in any type of bass, by Warwick or anyone else, but I do like the shape of the "normal" Thumb model. and those woods are gorgeous.
Evil Undead
How have I only just seen this?! Bluejay, what were the 5 string necks like that you tried? Chunky or skinny or normal? Also were they the new (again) wenge necks?
Silvia Bluejay
All current Warwick necks are thin, like really thin, and very kind to the fretting hand, in my opinion. I now have a variety of Warwick 5-stringers and they all have 17mm string spacing, standard 45mm nut, and D-shaped necks. They're not lightweight, though.
