Dingus Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 That looks like a fabulous way to spend an afternoon ! I hope you had / are having a great time in NYC . I want one of those Jack Bruce Survivor basses , and a Starbass would do me very nicely , too . And a Custom Shop Dolphin and Streamer as well . And a Thumb Singlecut . If Andy Irvine can get an endorsement deal then why can't I ? Quote
KiOgon Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Well cool way to spend an afternoon thanks for sharing. Quote
Silvia Bluejay Posted April 10, 2013 Author Posted April 10, 2013 We had a fantastic time. Thank you all for reading my ramblings. It really was a lovely afternoon. Come to think of it, it's probably fortunate that my left-handedness allowed me to try only three basses, as opposed to all those awesome models available at the shop, or I would have had to stay there a lot longer, and missed my flight home Quote
paul_5 Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Lovely blog Bluejay, thanks for taking the time to share! Quote
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 That was cool . Love the green bass Quote
Skol303 Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Great thread! I want to go to New York... with LOTS of spending money Quote
Ruiner Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Wasn't aware of the starbass, but the ones in that picture look really nice. Thanks for posting the blog, was a good read Quote
Silvia Bluejay Posted April 10, 2013 Author Posted April 10, 2013 Thanks for the appreciation, guys! I thought I should at least try to share the sheer awesomeness of that shop Quote
Chris2112 Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 That shot of the Thumbs together is great. Still not sure about this singlecuts though. Quote
xilddx Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Silvia, that was wicked! Strangely, I have forsaken my Streamer and sold it, got an oldish Fender USA Jazz. I love the Jazz to bits at the moment, but it's strange not feeling like part of a family if you know what I mean. I have the home made bass with the Warwick neck though, I still have a bastard son to keep me in they place Brilliant blog, really enjoyed it. My favourite is that German Flag one, love it! Quote
Bassman Sam Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Great blog Bluejay, l want a Dolphin. Not to play, just hang it on the wall and stare at it. Quote
Silvia Bluejay Posted April 11, 2013 Author Posted April 11, 2013 Thank you both! Sam, I want one to hang on the wall too - it's too big for little me to play anyway Nige, how could you get rid of your chrome Streamer for a bl**dy Fender??!?? Quote
I fancied a change Silvia. Fender has a big place in my heart, there is some seriously deep romance for me with Fender. I have toyed with them in the past, but it was time for me to get a really good USA Jazz, and boy, the one I bought of the lovely Pestie on here is rocking my world. I wonder how long it will last Seriously though, I feel so bonded to it right now I could cry tears of joy! Quote
charic Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Nige, Why don't you make that a chrome fender? Quote
