gary mac Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Nice pair Nige. I like that Jazz more every time I look at it. It's made me want another Jazz, even though I'm a P bass player through and through. Quote

They are wonderful things mate Quote

xilddx Posted April 13, 2013 Author Posted April 13, 2013
Has the Warwick gone for good Nige?
Yep. It's been polished and set up and it's asleep in its case waiting for its new owner to pick it up at the end of May. I do have a lovely German Warwick neck on my Electra though so I still have that feel if I need it. I just need to get it all fixed up at the Gallery as the new neck doesn't quite sit right in the pocket (which needs some fettling), and I need a new East pre for it. Toying with getting a J-Retro for this Jazz too. I've been playing the Jazz so much! It's wonderful! Played for 4 hours last night setting up POD patches for it. Been an eye opener in terms of eq It's also inspired me to practice as I've achieved quite a lot in terms of my technique and fluidity over the last week, I realised what I might be capable of if I really do some work. Dingus Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Typical shoddy build and poor quality control from Fender . It looks so crude it's almost as if they had just stuck a Strat on top of a Jazz Bass . Quote
Good stuff, my S1 jazz became my 'go to' bass for years. It has only taken a back seat recently as a lot of the acts covered in the band I recently joined are very 'trad P' sound so I'v been using a P bass for those gigs. Still take the jazz to jams ans stuff though, lovely player. Quote
