Truckstop Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 (edited) Hello all, Moving on this lovely instrument as it's surplus to requirements at the moment and I've realised I'm more of a traditional pick-guardy, J/P kind of guy! Sort of a metallic Gun-Metal Grey colour, looks awesome! This is basically brand new. Not a single mark on it. As in 99.99% 'as it left the factory' condition. I've subtracted the 0.01% because there might be some dust on it. I bought it from GAK two weeks ago and I've hardly touched it since. It was a complete impulse buy and I've realised that active instruments with a long scale length and 24 frets just arent useful to me anymore and don't suit my playing style anymore. Which is a shame because it's actually a really decent bass. The B-105 is a step up from the most basic B-55 and features ESP soapbars and electronics. I found the controls intuitive and very responsive; the bass control in particular produces some serious low-end. Room shaking stuff! The treble I found to be a little clanky rather than airy. Pickup-blend knob and master volume complete the four controls. It's not a lightweight instrument, but not heavy either; bathroom scales say as near as 10lbs. On the strap its very comfortable with easy access to the first fret. Bridge pup has a nice Jazz growl to it, neck pick-up very thumpy. Fit and finish is excellent, no sharp fret-edges, no blemishes in the finish, no set-up issues etc. The machine heads are of outstanding quality, as is the bridge; a very heavy duty, hi-mass type. A very good entry level 5er. Could do a lot worse for the same price as a second-hand Squier. Collection from AL2 1AZ preferred but delivery possible as I still have the GAK packaging. Delivery will be £15 to UK mainland, overseas we'll need to get some quotes together! Payment by Paypal, bank transfer or cash on collection. *see 4th post for trade options* Here's some pictures: Many thanks, Alex Edited April 27, 2013 by Truckstop
