Basschatfield
Just wondering if there are any Bassists that play in a similar stlye to Tom Morello, with all his use of effects and just generally making amazing sounds with his instrument. I also like to use weird effects and create new sounds with my bass, so it'd be nice to get ideas from a proffessional bassist who does the same sort of thing. Just post a name or video link or whatever

Dingus
Tim LeFebre experiments with effects a lot : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHAcPadx_Q4 Juan Alderete of the Mars Volta relies very heavily on effects and is bit of a guru when it comes to using them on the bass . he even has a Youtube channel devoted to them : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcNkup2PjM4

Ziphoblat
He is the guitarist, I think the point was more about bassists who use effects in a similar way to Tom Morello does.

Damonjames
If that's the case, he should check out his fellow band mate Mr Tim Commerford, more often than bot he follows the same licks/riffs as Tom, and uses some great fuzz sounds among other effects

Alderete uses kill switches on his instruments from time to time to cut stuff in and out of what he plays like Morello and all the great turntablists do. bobbass4k
Neil Mahony from Amplifier (everything up to Echo Street at least) uses a lot of effects, although not really in the same way as Tom Morello, but if you like huge interesting bass sounds he's the guy.
