New Daft Punk Album out in may!

Just saw that a new Daft Album is confirmed and set for release, don't know how it slipped past me!

Out in the UK on May 20th.

Stuff from it sounding really cool, and they went back to basics as it were, using analog stuff and live musicians.

Also seems Nathan East will be providing at least some bass on the album which is cool to hear, Daft Punk have always been a favourite of mine for bass parts, Around the world, Voyager etc

Already looking like it will be the soundtrack for my summer, (Big year for me, finishing school moving, family going seperate ways, music stuff in full swing, hoping for certain things in my personal life, going to university, growing up! All in motion) and it's nice to see something like this from such an (IMHO) great artist with an old school but at the same time fresh sound in modern dance music.

So, anyone else excited?

Never been a massive fan of these, but this looks good. I have to say that the soundtrack they did for Tron Legacy is excellent though.

Oh yes! Bring it on... another Daft Punk fan here. Really loving 'Get Lucky'. The bassline is great and most of all I just can't keep still when listening to it - always a good sign.

I've had get lucky on repeat this afternoon, Bm-D-F#m-E if anyone's interested!
I cannot wait, and haven't been this excited for an album release in a very long time. The bass sounds perfect, the guitar playing is stunning as you'd expect from Nile. A club in Newcastle had the track on apparently and everyone went nuts.

I can see Get Lucky being one of the big songs of this summer... cover bands take note!


I love how they're trying to bring live instruments back into dance music, if the album proves as influential as all their others it'll be great news for session musicians.
