jancreighton Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 (edited) hi guys I'm having trouble finding decent pressure wound strings - I've tried ground wound (me no like), and round wound - too bumpy and rough I have a bass with med-heavy (115?) pressure wounds on it and they are perfect but i don't know what brand they are or where they came from I've got rotosounds compression wounds on order but my fear is that being 105 guage they will likely be a bit flimsy feeling to me any ideas - a uk supplier if possible Edited April 15, 2013 by jancreighton Quote
BassBus Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 I tried a set of the Rotosounds recently and for me, they were no different to rounds. They are the right strings as they have the same silk ends as on the website. I use them on fretless and these ones damage the board just as much as rounds. Status supply their Hot Wires halfwounds. I bought a set of these recently and the E is very dead, as it was on the set I bought a year or two ago. You can get them through their website. D'Addario half rounds are pretty good. Stringbusters.com and Stringsdirect supply them.
