lancer
OK, I've only ever used flats and would like to try some rounds. I tried a Warwick once with black label strings they felt like cheese graters. Can you guys please recommend some smooth feeling rounds, Thanks
Ou7shined
I personally don't like stainless steel strings as I find them too "spikey" feeling on my fingers (plus they can quicken the demise of your frets). Stick with nickel strings (Ernie Ball are nice... and are inexpensive too) or try some coated sets (although coated strings can take some getting used to) - my current favourites are Elixir Nanowebs. Truckstop
I like smooth rounds but don't like Nickels. LaBella Stainless Steels fit the bill perfectly! For steels they're not terribly bright but they still have a pleasing 'click-zing' to them. They keep their sound for a long time (I change them every 8 months) and they're relatively cheap, just over £20. Also, black silk is sexy.
