Very odd!

Can't quite formalise what I believe about it at the moment. Initially I wondered if it was a Kubicki but there are several features that are wrong inc' the headstock (IIRC). I also can't EVER recall seeing that bass in a Bass Collection catalogue or advertising; prototype... possibly 'OR' more likely nice bit of salesmanship to get you thinking you'd be getting a rarity and getting the bidding up.

The paint is running on the edges and the finishing looks a bit shocking (ignoring the battering it's had) IMHO it's a bitsa put together by a hobbyist a few years ago who couldn't afford the real deal. Not the worst copy I've ever seen but I can't imagine it came out of a factory :)

apparently, (i think it was on talkbass) this isn't the first sighting of one of these though which would suggest a factory run at some point? always fancied a kubicki....hmmmmmm

I was going to say the action looked nice and low but then I saw this pic: http://www.wyrwas.de/E-Shop-Pics/BassCollectionFactor-08.jpg

Bit sneaky, in the fretboard shot they must have pressed them down?!

Otherwise it looks pretty good!

I wonder how they know about it's "expensive" sound, it's "unbelievable lo-end and silky highs" when it doesn't even have a jack socket? :)

:) It would need to be pretty well recessed wouldn't it!

That particular image is the one where I thought the finishing looked particularly cr*ppy... but my attention was distracted from the lack of visible socket!
