I am after £400 for this and would prefer a straight sale, but if you have something to trade just let me know. Come with 2 scratch plates, one black, one tortoiseshell http://s1283.photobu...68359c.jpg.html http://s1283.photobucket.com/user/damonjames79/media/photo-3_zps202336d1.jpg.html http://s1283.photobucket.com/user/damonjames79/media/photo_zps01159447.jpg.html http://s1283.photobucket.com/user/damonjames79/media/photo-4_zps12615ad8.jpg.html http://s1283.photobucket.com/user/damonjames79/media/photo-1_zps7d61ee8f.jpg.html As you can see from the pics, aside from some light scuffing from playing (i think with a pic, from the previous owners) it is in excellent condition. The scuffing isnt that noticeable, its just the photo was taken up close with the flash on, and in the interest of being honest about the sale I wanted to show it. I am located in Middlewich, Cheshire but if you are in the North West somewhere let me know, for the right price I might be able to deliver Edited May 8, 2013 by Damonjames
Grangur Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 (edited) I can't see the pics. The link URLs are incomplete Edited April 17, 2013 by Grangur
Damonjames Posted April 17, 2013 Author Posted April 17, 2013 Link has been updated, sorry about that!
Damonjames Posted April 21, 2013 Author Posted April 21, 2013 The silence is deafening! No one interested in mike??? I would really like to move on with this, let me know guys!
Damonjames Posted April 22, 2013 Author Posted April 22, 2013 Me too Steve! If any purists out there are put off by the fact this is a "signature" model, don't be shy, the only thing that's noticeable is the small star on the neck plate. Otherwise this could just be a tele p bass with a badass bridge. Trust me, this bass will make you sound as cool as you will look!
Damonjames Posted April 25, 2013 Author Posted April 25, 2013 Wow, not even a sniff of interest.... Bump!
Flex Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Great bass, used to have one. Was a bit heavy for me but sounds great. Good luck, if it was light I would have taken it
gareth Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Great bass - currently my gigging bass - in black, ex-eddie and the hotrods with flats - badass bridge, 50's looks, custom shop pup - whats not to like?
Damonjames Posted April 27, 2013 Author Posted April 27, 2013 I know, I love everything about this bass, it just oozes hot rod cool, only reason I'm selling is I have ridiculously small hands, and the neck and I just don't get on. Don't get me wrong, I can play it just fine, but my jazz just feels a little faster and more like home.
Damonjames Posted April 27, 2013 Author Posted April 27, 2013 According to amazon, the squier version of this has a shipping weight including packaging of 25lbs, which probably sounds about right, I would have said about the 9-10kg at a guess.... She is Definately no middleweight but surprisingly it doesn't really bother me too much, I mean it is a heavy bass, but I've used it solid for 3 hour rehearsal without any issues, I only use a standard fender strap too, if you invested in a quality leather strap you would be sweet.
Flex Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 9-10Kg is extremely heavy. You sure that is the weight? Can you not weigh the the bass? Cheers Pete
Grangur Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 I weighed a Fender a week or 2 back and it weighed about 9.5lb on my bathroom scales. 1Kg is about 2.2lb. It can't possibly weigh 9Kg
Damonjames Posted April 29, 2013 Author Posted April 29, 2013 Hey guys, there must be a LOT of packaging in that shipping weight listed on amazon. I make it between 5 and 6 kg or 11 and 13.2 lbs. hope this helps
Thunderbird Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Im drooling wish I had the dosh right now
Waterboarder Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Ive got one of these and they're great basses. I was expecting it to be a heavy slab of timber but to be honest its only slightly heavier than my Squier CV Precision and thats about 8lbs... This one's all black too...whats not to like
Flex Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 I like it a lot and if it was just over 8lbs would be a no brainer. My last Dirnt bass was heavy and done my back in on a long set. Great bass for someone who does not mind the weight.
Damonjames Posted May 1, 2013 Author Posted May 1, 2013 Where are you located flex? Quite happy to let you have a go and see what you think
