Installing Aguilar OBP 3 on Ibanez Musician MC 924

Hello,
I have the possibility to trade my Warwick FNA to an Ibanez MC 924 and since it's not the active version, I would to know I can install an Aguilar OBP 3 on the bass.
This is the bass:

It has two volume knobs and two tone knobs. The only thing I'm not sure about is that the pickups are active (if I'm well informed are EMG).

I was thinking about having a master volume, balance, concertic knob for bass / treble, mids and the switch for the mids freq.

Any help would be great!

Thanks!

I just found this wiring diagram and it would be perfect for me.

What about the active pickups connection? It's got to be like in this wiring or there is anything different?

Is it definitely passive? The reason I ask is that there's a battery compartment on the back.

By the way, I used to use a limited edition one of these with huge single coils and an active/passive switch. It sounded equally as amazing in both modes, active mode was only really useful for changing the tone quickly where I was concerned.

thanks for the reply!
The bass is definitely passive but the pickups not and that's why there is a battery compartment on the back. The sound is amazing and the pickups are great but the controls are like the concentric pots on a Jazz Bass 62 RI.
I've been reading some reviews and tutorials and for EMG is possible to run a preamp and pickups with only one battery. In my case the wiring of the active pickups confuses me... ;)

Hi.:)

I have one of these.

With a decent battery, it sound very nice, indeed.

For me, I would leave it well alone - there aren't that many of these around.

I'd get something else to mod. . . . honestly.

Keep it as it is. :)

Cheers. :)

Thanks for the reply FlatEric.
I know that these basses are pretty rare. But I think that I will change the preamp anyway.
The OBP3 is one thing that can get out and install it on other bass in half an hour besides I want to take pictures and keep all the original parts for reassembly in the future.

I found this wiring on Seymour Duncan website and Now I understand how the wiring of the active pickups is done.

The only thing I can't understand is if it's possible to use one battery for all (PU's and preamp).
