hamfist Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 (edited) now SOLD OK, here is my immaculate four month old G&L tribute SB-2 in metallic gloss black. It has absolutely no marks, scratches or swirls on it AT ALL that I can find, except for one tiny, tiny mark on the end of the headstock. Any marks you see on the pics are only dust. Upgrades are a Seymour Duncan SPB1 vintage precision pickup, which I feel is a better match to the bridge pickup than the original MFD pickup. Also, is a custom ebony thumbrest and a blue pearloid scratchplate (courtesy of our own BassDoc). The original black scratchplate will come as part of the deal also, as will a very nice 20mm foam Stagg gigbag. This bass plays just beautifully. Great tone, lovely action. Every string, including the low E has a real punch. No dead spots on the neck. It has been a wrench to decide to sell it. However, it is just doubling my other P bass for my precision needs currently, and I have a lusting for a Stingray-type bass, which the sale of this will help fund. I have put a lot of effort into getting this bass right, and it's action is lovely and the slim jazz-type neck is very playable. For a rock player this bass is the canine's knackers IMO. The neck pocket is tight as a tight thing. Intonation is perfect. Quality and finish makes current MIM Fenders look shoddy. Weight is medium-light. My, very cheap, bathroom scales put it at 4kg. Certainly not a heavy bass in any sense of the word. £329 posted within the UK, or £315 collected from the Southampton area. I can also send abroad. To the EU it would cost approximately an extra £20, but please contact me for costs. Please check my feedback, as I have sold a fair bit of stuff on here. Sorry, no trades, OK, pics ...... Oliver Roden Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 If that was a 5 string it would be mine by now! Bump!
