marcus bell Posted April 24, 2013 Author Posted April 24, 2013 Haha , don't worry I've got something lined up in the way of that too Quote
SidVicious1978 Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 awesome dude welcome to the world of jazz Quote
machinehead Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Having gigged with my Precision for about a year now, I took my US 75 reissue jazz to a gig on Sunday just for a change really. I loved the sound and feel of the jazz and two people commented on how good it sounded. I think you'll love it. Frank. Quote
marcus bell Posted April 24, 2013 Author Posted April 24, 2013 I've had jazzes before so it'll be nice to get back on one again, just need to sell my olp fretless to upgrade the neck and electronics on my musicman and ill be bass happy I think... Hmmmm Quote
the boy Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 I love jazz basses but my "go to" bass for a long time has been a squier Chinese/jap precision bitza. It fits me like an old glove. Excellent balance and a fast neck. I occasionally play a jazz bass for sound diversity and visually I prefer jazzes but I'm hooked on that p at the mo. good luck with the new guitar though mate. iconic Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 What happened to the MM....i for one think you made a better choice sir.....jazzes....lovely things bought two today! Quote
Dingus Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013
I love my Jazz, but I also love my Precision, so what to do?......feck it, I will keep them both!
If you've got a good Precision and a good Jazz Bass there isn't much you can't cover in terms of styles and genres of music . All I really need . Quote
risingson Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Gone the total opposite way, I was a Jazz bass player for years and have moved over to a P. That said, I'll pick up a Jazz again soon if I can, that '75 reissue looks immense so if I could get hold of one then that's what I'd go for. Great choice then! Quote
marcus bell Posted April 27, 2013 Author Posted April 27, 2013 Marcus miller is now coming my way Quote
Prime_BASS Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Don't like the pickup spacing at all on 75s . Infact I've hated the pickups on every Jazz I've tried. Quote
