The Dark Lord
I am very tempted by a MacBook Pro and a copy of Final Cut Pro so that I could turn our multicam gig footage into something interesting. Comes in on budget too given that I'll buy it through the business. Alternatively, an old Astra van might be a good idea .... although a wee bit more and there's additional costs there too. Cameronj279
I'd probably put most of it towards driving lessons (or if I already had a license) towards insurance/road tax etc. And leave enough to go to a really really good restaurant and treat myself and my girlfriend. Graham
A PA maybe? Can't hurt to have one. Alternatively, buy another Precision and let me have yours on indefinite loan

JamesBass
Do you do your own recordings? If not might be a worthy investment, although a macbook/mac with Logic is more than the £1000 you have currently. I bought myself a macbook and logic and it is one of the best things I bought, allows me to do so much more and more easily than my old laptop did! Plus get yourself a preamp and interface and a few mics and you're able to do recordings and charge, people are always looking to pay for recordings and they want it as cheap as possible, maybe you could venture that way if you have the time? lojo
If you have no or little savings , save it, you'll find a use later. What I'd do, priority would be a holiday round a pool with the family in the summer.

The Dark Lord
Eventually decided that £1,000 = £2,120 and got a MacBook Pro Retina 15" with some NAS storage and Final Cut Pro X. The band's videos are about to go multi-angle!
