What do you think?. Good story, and lots of famous guitarists associated with it.Doesn`t seem to be any provenance with it though.Plus a hopeful price of £2000

Without provenance it's simply an old amp. If you were to buy it and come to sell it on, who's going to believe you?

Well, that is what i was thinking. If it was a big rig, i could understand someone wanting it, if the story was substantiated. It would be good to do gigs through his amps. But a 30w, you would never be able to show it off properly

Eh? You know this is a Class A Vox AC30 don't you? Easily do sizeable gigs with one of these.

It seems counterintuitive when you're used to high powered bass amps, but this is a guitar amp. Despite being "only" 30 watts, an AC30 is definitely a big-gig amp, and could easily be way too loud on the club circuit.

+1 Our guitarist has a Marshall 1X12 40W valve combo which can be run at 20W and even at that he has to have it turned way down.
It's really bloody loud and I can't imagine any gig where it wouldn't be loud enough.

I don't understand why any guitarist would need a 100W head and a 4X12... except for the look of the thing.

Provenance is usually the deciding factor with collectors
It's difficult to link the use with any name, without it.

Mind you, I did use to own a Bass Combo flightcase with "Simply Red" on it!
Can't imagine anyone spraying that on the side of a flightcase if they weren't in the band?

I used to work with Johnny Cash - I had a job collecting coins from condom vending machines.

I've got some tenners here. I was given them by Victoria Wood in payment for a bass (no joke).. So how much do you recon they're worth? :dash1:

There you go.It shows what i know about guitar amps.
Another thought, as much as i like Gary Moore`s work, which is a lot, it has Paul Mccartney listed. If that were true, then surely it would be worth more than marketing it ,Gary Moore

I had a flightcase with THE HOO stencilled on it, but no one believed me when I told them about buying it from Pete Townshend.
