Kevin Dean
I'm thinking of getting this , the seller has said that they have had the thermal switch removed so the fans are on all of the time . Is this something that should put me off ?
RandomBass
Not sure why anyone would want to do that - unless the thermal switch went faulty and didn't switch the fans on at all. In which case the cheapest option would be to remove it from circuit completely. Assuming this has been done properly by someone who is confident with such a modification, then it is probably ok. I say probably, mind you.
tonyquipment
I see no issue with that. Just makes the box cooler I guess!
Kevin Dean
He said he didn't trust thermal switches ? & hes given me the name of the Shop he got it from . I don't know anything about this stuff & just concerned about fan noise or over working them if their on all of the time ?
Barefootbassplayer
I owned one of these for ten very happy years! After a couple of years of heavy gigging it did overheat and cut out a couple of times and so I got an electrician to do exactly the same. Hey presto, amp ran a lot cooler and never had an issue with it again! I would not worry at all as long as you're happy it has been carried out by someone who knows what they are doing! Kevin Dean
Is there a difference between the model with all green push buttons & the other one ?
