Paul S Posted April 27, 2013 Share Posted April 27, 2013 Plea for help. I am trying to learn these. I usually pick up things by ear but increasingly my ears are letting me down. Doesn't help that the recording of Red Streamliner I have seems picthed somewhere bewteen E and F, so working out some of the runs is pretty much hit or miss! [/quote] hope those little snippets made sense - apart from the easily identifiable main riff based over an F minor those other runs sound quite exotic but once you see where they fall on the neck (mostly sort of pentatonic arpeggios) the rest of it all pretty much falls into place Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Didn't help that I started off playing along in E then got in a right old muddle. Great track! Shame we don't have Michael Mcdonald doing BVs, not sure it will sound quite so haunting without.
