I know very little about these but it looks a bit suspect to me, no pictures of headstock except by request, and a very interesting 'custom made scratchplate'..? Something about it isn't right, but quite a lot of it is, so not sure. ash Posted April 29, 2013 Share Posted April 29, 2013 Yes I agree it looks odd, it looks like its been stained and the pickup cover looks too large - although the pickup itself and ground plate and rout look fine. Perhaps its the angle? A bit of a mistake missing the obvious headstock picture - hmmm, curiouser and curiouser. Its not too far from me and I asked for pics too - we will see. [/quote] Not sure if you can attach pictures both ways, but I've taken to sending a picture of my email address. Edit: looked at bass, looks like it has been sanded back fairly aggressively. neepheid Posted April 29, 2013 Share Posted April 29, 2013 Well, make up your own mind: I think that it is probably real, but been completely refinished (including the headstock) at some point, hence the rather wonky attempt to redo the logos etc. Will require a lot of work. [/quote] I know, but perhaps the nut was replaced. The bad stuff is easily explainable.
