Schnozzalee
Hope you find it again mate; I'd like to find a couple of my previous guitars too - amazing how they drop off the radar like that (unless kept in the BC community!)
marcus bell
to be honest mate a few months back, i tracked it down through a few pm's to certain members but now i cant remember haha would love to find it and buy it back, it was an amazing bass, i worked so hard getting the action and playability just right.... if you look at photo 2 you can see how low it was, but no buzzing, just a great playable jazz bass

hamfist
Good luck tracing it Marcus. I suspect many of us have one or two similar basses that we regret moving on. Personally, I have a lovely surf green Status Energy I sold last year in my mind. Can't for the life of me understand why I sold it. It was a cracker that, in the same words that you used, "played itself" in my hands.
Bassman Steve
I have mentioned this before but I'll mention it again just so you know there's always someone worse off than you ............... I have owned (and let go); 1953 Precision #0189 (it cost £995 when I bought it); and An original 1966 slab body Precision (which cost me £895). Which one of us has the biggest regret. Hope that makes you feel better - I just feel more sick!!! Edited April 30, 2013 by Bassman Steve
Lynottfan
I was going to post to Marcus that selling my Ray 4hh in black with chrome plate made me fell bad, I see your list Steve, 66 slab ouch! 53P £995, yep you win! I feel your pain,

3below
In my case I traded in a 1958 EB2 against a Precision in 1977 (I doubled my money). I would be more than happy to have it back, not likely though. Edited April 30, 2013 by 3below
ead
Yeah, I sympathise too. My Spector Legend 4 is, I think, around BC somewhere and I'd definitely have it back. [attachment=133883:Spector Legend 4 13.jpg]
stu_g
i bought a 1975 precision for £150 quid and swapped it for a very dodgy eb3 many years ago doh!
police squad
paid £550 for a '62 P bass in 1989.sold it for £550 in 1992 to go on holiday. It wasn't as good as my '75 but would now be worth a bit more than that.

White Cloud
Good luck with your quest Marcus. I bought a brand new Wal custom on the old never never back in 1985 for £750. Didn't drink, drive or entertain any voluptuous females for 6 months whilst I paid it up with every penny I made. John Entwhistle even briefly played it on one of those bass centre bass weekend master class things. In a moment of absurd nonsensical halfwittery I swapped it for a brand new Jaydee supernatural - which subsequently developed a terminal neck back bow. It was a real dog of a bass. Almost 30 yrs on I still consider it the stupidest act of my life...and I have done some really stupid things!

I wish I'd kept a lot of basses that I sold in moments of absolute madness, including a leather scratchplate Wal that I sold for silly money in the late 90's! Sold it to a good friend and great bassist, but I still wish i hadn't!
