Lovely looking and sounding Japanese CSL bass. The soundclips show how great this bass sounds. I'd buy it if I didn't have a great sounding Jazz already. You can certainly see why these basses made Fender nervous in the 70s.

Looks lovely, but he's out on the date - it's from about 1980.

This is the 1976 Ibanez catalogue http://s93105080.onlinehome.us/Ibanez-Catalogs/catalog/1976-1/04.jpg

Going cheap?

How do you know if it's cheap or not until the auction ends? :)

Of course you're right. I meant cheaper than a 76 Fender Jazz. But probably just as good judging from the soundclips.

Different headstock/truss rod access altogether. It's actually the same as the Cimar basses which came out of Fujigen just like the the Ibanez's, but had a few changes of headstock. The one in the link was only used for a short while before they went over to the curvy one like they had on the blazer basses.

Not so cheap in the end then......

The soundclip obviously did the business. It did sound very nice. It went for about twice what it cost originally in the early 80s.
