Happy Jack
I've had the usual delay / nearly-hanging issues with page loading for many months, but recently I've been noticing two things: 1. Long, long delays while a message appears like a tool-tip, saying "Transferring data from ad.click.net"; 2. Particularly long delays when moving into Off Topic. Is it just me? Silvia Bluejay
I keep noticing that the site isn't as responsive as it used to be, and I've seen the ad.click.net message occasionally while clicking on forum threads or posts, so it's not just you. However, the delay could simply be caused by some extra layer of security filtering/processing being applied against bots and spammers. tonyquipment
There are some other tweaks and stuff out there for Firefox/ chrome etc but I won't spoil it for the nerds
icastle
I block ad.click.net, twitter, facebook and a whole host of other plugins. It's surprising how fast a page will load when I cut through all the 'extras' that I'm not even vaguely interested in.
JapanAxe
Never had this problem but solely use Macs (ooh that warm feeling of smug self-righteousness - almost like being a cyclist!)
