I've just listened to the two Bruno albums and I think he is one of the best current/modern male popular artists.

Whichever way you look at it, the young lady covering bass lines is 'one to watch'...from looking at her comments, she is new to playing with a plec.

I think the Ray 5/Ray in general is the perfect all rounder for covers like this.

Watched Bruno Mars on bbc3 last night, live at Derry. Wow. His band is amazing. Tight as and they all look like they are having a great time. I haven't seen a performance as raw and earthy as that for years.

I enjoyed that too. As someone said, shades of James Brown and Treasure reminds me a little bit of Earth Wind and Fire. Would love to see them live. It should be on iPlayer for the next week or so, check it out if you missed it.

There's a bit in treasure that sounds like the dee-doo dee-doo bit in crosstown traffic. He's drawing on a lot of influences but he's doing it quite well and respectfully. He gets a thumbs up from me.

I've got it on at the moment, brilliant as usual so far, but i think they may've played Grenade just that bit too fast. The gearstalker in me wasn't expecting to see a Mesa Boogie stack back there either, looks like an M Pulse and 2 PH410's i think.

Sang Just The Way You Are at the karaoke in the local tonight......errr yeah that's a lot harder than I thought, it was videoed so I could send to a "friend", luckily the sound was very low, I'm hoping she gets the message though......if you know what I mean 😉
