tonyquipment
Hey! In looking for a DI box with some line in facility /headphones ?? Anyone know of any good ones? Thanks
dannybuoy
This needs to be used in conjunction with a DI box, but for £15 it's a great headphone amp with line in: http://www.gear4musi..._kword__match__ Combine that with the Behringer BDI21 for the princely sum of £26 and you have an amp sim / DI: http://www.gear4musi...Bass-Preamp/6LV I had the headphone amp and can recommend it. Not tried the BDI21 but I have used the Sansamp BDDI which it's a clone of, and the Behringer gets solid reviews. dannybuoy
There is a Redsub DI-2000 pedal too that's fairly cheap but looks like it should be avoided: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/202592-redsubhb-di-2000-bass-di-drive Edited May 4, 2013 by dannybuoy
tonyquipment
Great ! Thanks! I have an alesis io2 express. I think the BDI will go nicely with it! Thanks
mike257
Another vote for the BDI, its a bargain and sounds great. Use it to give my Shuttle some extra grit.
tonyquipment
Revisiting this ... The io2 doesn't work stand alone... I'm looking at line 6 pod... Is that any good???
dannybuoy
They are, but don't think they have a line in (certainly not the X3 and earlier models I was looking at) so you would still need a separate headphone amp if wanting to play along to backing tracks. If it's just for practice you could also check out the Korg Pandora range.
tonyquipment
I had a look at the spec of a couple of older ones and they do but what they don't have is a gain or level knob to match the instrument but that doesn't really matter as you can turn the vol up or down on the aux source... ordep
I have a moen buffalo and i really like it. no aux line in option though. mainly made for guitars but also works well for basses. a great headphone amp too. sweepable mid control.
