ShergoldSnickers Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013
What's wrong with the wheels - are they too small? I have 3" castors on my cab, and they're not great.
Smallish wheels reminiscent of skateboard wheels. Smooth surface... easy glide with no resistance Bumpy surface... the cab jolts about but it can still be moved reasonably easily. Just don't run. Very bumpy surface... carry it. Quote

FinnDave Posted September 24, 2013 Author Posted September 24, 2013 Well, I started this thread back at the beginning of May, and tomorrow I am going to Brighton to collect my new cab from Barefaced. My lovely new Super Twin will be on stage on Thursday! Quote
Salt on your Bass? Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Congrats! Looking forward to hearing how it performs on a gig!! Quote

Salt on your Bass? Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Great stuff! That's exactly the amp i'm running at present so be very interested in your thoughts ahead of my own delivery in the next few weeks Quote
FinnDave Posted September 24, 2013 Author Posted September 24, 2013 I'll try to remember to record the gig as well. BTW, I like your avatar, my local brew, our last gig was a 2 or 3 hundred yards from the Wychwood brewery. I'm such a regular customer they awarded me a gold card! Quote
Salt on your Bass? Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 (edited) Cheers, looking forward to it Thanks, our local hobgoblin pub closed down about 12 months ago much to my disappointment - used to be great live music venue and hobgoblin was under £2 a pint some nights! WOW! GOLD CARD?!! Makes me even more envious of you now!! Edited September 24, 2013 by Salt on your Bass? Quote

Salt on your Bass? Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Hmmm, not slow enough it seems..... the only thing missing from that picture is a pint! Quote
FinnDave Posted September 24, 2013 Author Posted September 24, 2013 I'll be wandering down to my local a little later to put that right Quote
JTUK Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Most casters on bass cabs are a pain, unless you get proper manly and large ones that normally live on flights cases..and then you know that they wont buckle or fall off easily. It will still make rough surfaces a bugger tho... Quote
FinnDave Posted September 25, 2013 Author Posted September 25, 2013 Got it! Super Twin #001 now sitting under my amp waiting for me to try it in the morning. Great to meet Alex and the team today, what a friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable bunch they are. Such a treat to carry my cab indoors in just one hand! Quote
