Roger2611 Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Off to see Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark tomorrow night in Bristol, got to be one of my favourite bands of the eighties and Andy McCLuskey with that lovely old Sonic Blue Jazz Bass, never got to see them before so really looking forward to it Quote
steve-soar Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 (edited) Enjoy. I thought it was grey? Colour blindness and left handedness and obsessive nature. Edited May 4, 2013 by steve-soar Quote
martthebass Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 It was grey, I read that McClusky resprayed it with halfords primer Quote
MB1 Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 MB1. Definately looked blue to me on the Old Grey Whistle Test?. Quote
jezzaboy Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 That`s the bass that is strung upside down as he learned to play on a left handed bass played upside down. Duck egg blue I would say Quote
Maude Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 I love OMD, should be a great night. The guitarist/mandolinist in our band did this pretty much off the cuff when he visited his brother, I like it so much I really want to do it in the acoustic band but he doesn't really like it. It's a little rough round the edges but I think it could be great, what do you think? http://m.youtube.com/watch?hl=en&client=mv-google&gl=GB&v=kpOdy5BTs2w Couldn't seem to upload it, sorry. Have a great night :0) Quote
Chris2112 Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 I thought it lacked all the drama and excitement of the original. Quote
