squelchy filter al la Bootsy/disco.....cheap!

Any ideas on a good squelchy filter al la Bootsy/ 70's disco style.....cheap!, in a single pedal form, not multi FX, a tall order i know, but its gotta be cheap i cant afford much at all!

Look for a used Maxon AF-9! It's the closest thing I've found to an original Mutron III. I'm considering getting one as a back up for my Mutron. It's awesome!!

Thanks dude, found one on ebay but still way expensive for what i need, is there like a behringer version or some such, i wouldnt normally scrimp on fx but wont use it much?

If finances rule the decision Id go for the Ashdown Envelope plus.

Its cheap as chips and works really well.

Its good for the money and has a great octaver on it the envelope filter is good enough but its no mutron.

BSW is ok, but there's better out there. Next best thing after the Mutron and Meatball for not a lot of dough is a DOD FX25 or an EHX Q-Tron. Also very good but more subtle and less squelchy are the Boomstick Bottom Feeder or Emma Discombobulator.
