Cosmo Valdemar Posted May 8, 2013 Author Share Posted May 8, 2013 'Interesting' fact - Fragile was the first album to feature Squire running his bass in stereo, i.e. sending each pickup to separate amps. Unbelievably, a fellow bassist from the previous band (very nice chap) came across, and recognised the line instantly! First time I've jammed a Yes bassline, and had it noticed! KevB Posted May 8, 2013 Share Posted May 8, 2013 (edited) Can anyone recall another, more obscure band, that had a tune on one of their albums that included a riff that was a real rip off of HotS? I think it also used a bit of Close To The Edge as well. Not Starcastle, they were just general yes soundalikes all round. Think the band's name began with A. Really starting to bug me now. Loved Yes' arrangements from this time - no block chords and roots anywhere on this album! Was a rumour that CS nicked the changes for the first part from KC's 21st Century Schizoid Man... which you can hear is similar although not played as 16ths.
