urb Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 OK cool - well I'm going - I'll be hanging and playing a bit on the Anaconda basses stand - come and say hello http://www.anacondabasses.co.uk/ Cheers M Quote
Silvia Bluejay Posted January 22, 2014 Author Posted January 22, 2014 I'll make sure not to spend all of my time in the BC corner - we'll probably have timeslots like last year - and instead also walk round to say hi to all you guys working or performing at other stands. All hail the Brotherhood of Bass Quote
iamtheelvy Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Looking forward to this - not long to go! Quote
iamtheelvy Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Must dig out my bass-related t-shirts... Quote
Stingray5 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Woohoo! Having missed the last couple, I'm on course for making it along to at least one of the show days. Quote
Silvia Bluejay Posted January 22, 2014 Author Posted January 22, 2014 I am so going to make sure I see you at some point, Steve. Just not sure what day at the moment. Lee Sklar is on my must-see list, too, so I'll chance whether I catch his live show on Saturday, or his masterclass on Sunday. p.s. - looking at the cover of BGM on the LBGS website, is it just me, or do Dave Swift and Jack look more alike as time goes by?!? Happy Jack Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I feel sure that Dave will be hugely flattered by the comparison ... Quote
tonyf Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I'm ummmining and arrrrrring (that's brummie for thinking it over) at the moment. Really want to see the Maruszczyk Instruments basses as I know Adrian has said he is exhibiting. However, having done various guitar shows over the years when I worked in retail, my blood runs cold at though of the smell of grease paint and the roar of the crowd. Or the roar of the grease paint and the smell of the crowd. Anyone going to convince me it'll be worth coming along if I buy some new knuckle dusters and charge the taser? Quote
EBS_freak Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 You know, if you just bought that Maruszczyk now, you wouldn't even have to think about going to the show or not. Just put the cost of the train tickets, transport and hassle into your new Maruszczyk. You've spent enough time speaking to Adrian and looking at all the Maruszczyk basses that have been posted on Facebook to know that buying a Maruszczyk is going to happen. You know that you've seen it all before and the only reason for going, is that you are trying to convince yourself that there will be other things there to interest you in addition to the Maruszczyk stand. Have you clocked my subminal Maruszczyk message? Ahem. Maruszczyk Quote

Silvia Bluejay Posted January 23, 2014 Author Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) I'll be taking lots of photos as always, too - of people and GAS-inducing gear, possibly at the same time Oh, and of course we'll also organise some sort of "Not-the-LBGS event" at some point, for those who can't or won't attend the show Edited January 23, 2014 by bluejay Quote

timmo Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 (edited) A question for Anaconda Basses. Will you have any left hand basses? Edited January 26, 2014 by timmo Quote
Jonnyboy Rotten Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 So for those of us who are going and don't have the attractive Basschat polo shirts etc how do we recognise each other? Hang a little orange hankerchief out of our left hand jeans pocket? Quote
Silvia Bluejay Posted January 28, 2014 Author Posted January 28, 2014 Well, I will be wearing my BC lanyard, and so will many other BCers visiting the show. I will also have a number of lanyards with me, which I can give to those who still haven't got one Quote
