skelf
AC Guitars and East Tone UK will once again be exhibiting at the show. I will have a selection of basses to try or buy as usual. There will be 3 new models launched at the show and the Über Graft range will have an official launch at the show. I will also be launching a newly developed process used on top and finger board woods which will be on display on two Über Spec Bases.. Details on the new range can be found in the Graft section of the website. http://www.acguitars...-specification/ There is a special offer on the range in the run up to the London Show. This includes stock instruments and any orders placed before or at the show. Edited January 31, 2014 by skelf

ezbass
I want going to go but then Lee Sklar was announced, then Jack Bruce and now John Taylor; looks like my 1st Sunday in March is sorted, if only Paul Turner was playing Sunday too. Silvia Bluejay
Once again, if the BC Baton could be taken to the LBGS there might be some BC Relay photo opportunities, as well as handover opportunities. (But please don't ask me to take care of it as I'll be far too busy for that, I'm afraid.)
NickD
This is getting daft now, I've swung back and forth between the Saturday and Sunday half a dozen times in the past week. It's really tough to choose!
Silvia Bluejay
Only hope is to get a weekend ticket, as I did in - erm - August 2013. No point in deluding myself! So I would have been at the show even if I wasn't running the BC corner
NickD
If only! There's no way I could get a wifey pass for both days. Might just have to toss a coin.

Looks like I might be able to do both anyway now. Could anyone clue me in to the deal with tickets for the shows/masterclasses... how you go about getting tickets and cost, as I can't see much on the site. Also what's the deal with cameras, is it press only, or would a discreet Slr and a little prime be ok?
Clarky72
You don't get if you don't ask.... so I've just emailed BIlly Sheehan and John Taylor and asked them if they'd consider doing a clinic at the next show. Who knows if they'll see the message and reply. Worth an ask though eh?
I never heard back from JT, but he's now on the bill... Can't even begin to explain how happy this makes me. Silvia Bluejay
Nick - cameras are fine (I'll be wielding one all the time!). NickD
Thanks! I was referring to the live stage and masterclass tickets though, as the site is pretty vague. I understand you can't get them until you're in there, but does anyone have a rough idea of where from and how much?
Silvia Bluejay
Last year they abandoned the idea at the last moment - you only needed to queue for the artist you wanted to see. This year might well be the same.
Silvia Bluejay
Also, performances and masterclasses are free as far as I know. They only had a paid show once (Steve Vai, IIRC) but that year the show was, to be honest, a bit crap and badly organised, and I'm happy they abandoned the idea. NickD
Ah cool, that's why they're bring so vague about it then I guess. Cheers!
timmo
I read somewhere that you had to queue to get a free ticket on a first come basis. The tickets would be available 2 hours before each masterclass. The seating area seats something in the region of 450 people. Whether that will happen, i have no idea. Found it. Live Stage auditorium: Seating a maximum of 450 people, tickets for the Live Stage auditorium are available at the show only and are collected from the Bass Guitar Magazine stand. The tickets are first come first served, and will be available no more than 2 hours prior to each performance. Persons under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult

Look under where you buy tickets, and the text is under the box

Edited February 4, 2014 by timmo
Silvia Bluejay
Edit: sorry just read that small paragraph you point to (which wasn't there until a few days ago). In that case, I guess we'll have to get tickets, or they'll realise how idiotic that system is, and cancel it at the last moment again... [s]That was how they organised it two years ago and, initially, last year. Then, when I got there, I was told they were no longer handing out tickets and we only needed to queue in front of the auditorium (or masterclass room). I haven't heard anything regarding masterclass tickets this year. If you check the list of masterclasses/mini shows on their website, their blurb will invite you to "get tickets", but only link to the page selling the normal LBGS tickets, not tickets for the masterclasses.[/s] Edited February 4, 2014 by bluejay
