Silvia Bluejay Posted February 28, 2014 Author Posted February 28, 2014 This is how our corner currently looks - tomorrow the t-shirts and sweaters will be moved a little out of the way and I'll put up my music stand with the BC poster. Quote
Steve Woodcock Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I have a free weekend for once so will be around both days. Quote
deepbass5 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I'll be there Saturday, with my son in tow, to make sure I get home safe and gas free. try and catch some of you guys at the BC stand. Lee Sklar and TM are my main aims. Quote
such Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014
This is how our corner currently looks - tomorrow the t-shirts and sweaters will be moved a little out of the way and I'll put up my music stand with the BC poster.
Inviting! And the hoodies are tempting. I'll be there. I'm a long-haired bearded bespectacled troglodite, in case there's too much e-minor slapping to introduce oneself Quote
Silvia Bluejay Posted February 28, 2014 Author Posted February 28, 2014 LOOL do say hi to us, in theory there should be 45 minutes of no-slapping for every 15 minutes of slapping, and we are determined to tweet iratedly at the LBGS if the rule isn't adhered to Quote
NickD Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Oh bloody great! Set up next to expensive and beautiful items why don't you! Quote
Shockwave Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Just booked my Saturday ticket. I actually have a fair amount of money this time around, but I will RESIST. Quote
Dash Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I'll be around at some point over the weekend so will try to pop by... probably to chat with Bluejay about the lack of lefty basses at the show! Quote
Silvia Bluejay Posted February 28, 2014 Author Posted February 28, 2014 Kathryn! Yay! I spotted a lefty Warwick Streamer at their stand this afternoon, and I'm reasonably sure others will appear as if by magic. Last year there was one lefty Hofner violin and a couple of other models were spotted randomly. Oh, and one lefty acoustic bass! All is not lost Quote
Mr Fretbuzz Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I'm up and catching the 6.18 train from Port Talbot. I've got a lanyard and a welsh leek on :-D Happy St David's Day boyos :-) Quote
Shockwave Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 TM Stevens just rocked up next to me queuing to get into the show! What a legend! (He was taken away to get on first bah!) Quote

NickD Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Crikey it's noisy in here... I said CRIKEY IT'S NOISY IN HERE! Quote
Silvia Bluejay Posted March 1, 2014 Author Posted March 1, 2014 Noisy but tolerable without earplugs so far, so we haven't complained yet. I've taken around a million photos already but I'm on the tablet so I'can't upload them here. Blog to follow after the weekend! Quote
Happy Jack Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 There's never a Clutterbuck when you need one ... Quote
Lenny B Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 What time do the doors open tomorrow? Can't see it on the website... Quote
TG Flatline Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Too. Much. Slap. Just played a Les Paul bass on the Promenade Music stand and am contemplating what story I could tell my wife... Quote
Russ Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 The missus overslept so I'm running a bit late, but I'm on the Overground over there now. Someone tell Colin Edwin not to start until I get there! Quote
Dingus Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014
The missus overslept so I'm running a bit late
Putting my militant feminist hat on for a moment, there is so much inherently wrong with this statement. I can totally sympathise though. If I had enough money to buy an alarm clock at the time I met Mrs Dingus, I would probably still be single now. Quote
Silvia Bluejay Posted March 1, 2014 Author Posted March 1, 2014 (edited) Doors at 10am tomorrow too! Noise has subsided a bit. Waiting in the queue for Roger Glover's masterclass Edited March 1, 2014 by bluejay Quote

Hobbayne Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I have decided to give it a miss this year. My ears are still ringing from last year slapfest! Quote
gary mac Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Having decided not to go this year, due to the fact that I'm gigging tonight and was also concerned about the slap fest aspect, I had just been saying to my wife this morning, that maybe I would go along tomorrow after all. Changing my mind again having seen the posts above, about slapping and noise levels. not sure what to do now Quote
Silvia Bluejay Posted March 1, 2014 Author Posted March 1, 2014 It's not too bad, honest. I'm now in the queue for Frank Bello's masterclass \m/ \m/ Quote
lou24d53 Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I'm not jealous at not being there in then the slightest. Honest...I'm not...seriously......??!! Quote
